- β-1,4-Galactosyltransferase is used for in vitro galactosylation of all GlcNAc1-2Man units on glycoproteins, such as monoclonal antibodies (MABs).
- β-1,4-Galactosyltransferase is used for targeted, in vitro galactosylation of glycoproteins, which are not, or not fully galactosylated.
A generic protocol for galyctosylation of glycoproteins is available. However, the optimal conditions depend on different factors (e.g., the initial and target glycosylation status of the glycoprotein) and must be determined by the user.
